This basic recipe is a canvas for you to make any wonderful combination you can think of. As pictured, I have made; roasted almonds, plain as well as coconut. You can make anything you wish such as; fruit a nut, crunchy varieties, smooth varieties, superfood varieties such as goji or anything you have handy that will look pretty. This recipe is super easy and is sure to please, so give it a go... then give me some - thanks!
Yummy bits – all optional, suggestions include but are not limited to: Roasted almonds
Unsweetened coconut
Goji berries
Pepitas
Buckinis
Fried dried raspberries
Dried fruit – figs, apricots, dates, raisins, currants etc
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a double boiler (or a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water), melt coconut oil and cacao butter together.
Add maple syrup and whisk to combine.
When completely incorporated, remove from heat and sift in cacao and Himalayan salt.
Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Spoon the raw cacao chocolate in your moulds to the level you wish – maybe like 1-2cm – these are quite rich and still contains sugar so you want to keep your serving sizes reasonable!
Sprinkle over any yummy bits you wish – gentle push down into the chocolate if needed but don’t submerge entirely.
Place in the fridge or freezer and cool until solid, about 15 minutes.
