Yum, yum, yum! I am so excited to share this recipe with you. I first tried a spice almond milk at Pressed Juices some weeks ago and I loved it so much I knew I had to try and replicate it at home.
Cardamom is the hero in this drink, there is something just so powerful and mesmerising about its unique taste. I truly believe cardamom is the unsung hero of the spice world – not many people seem to understand its raw sexy power.
Because this is made of nuts and dates, you have added fibre and nutrients in here so this makes a satisfying snack or a light meal. Almonds and cinnamon are excellent for skin which makes me love this even more!
On another note, I’m not sure why vegans have started calling non-diary milk products mylk – but it’s on trend and I am running with it.
- 1/4 cardamom
- 1/4 nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- Pinch Himalayan salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste
- 6 medjool dates, deseeded
- 6 ice cubes
- 2 cups water
- Extra ice to serve
- Place everything into a blender and waz.
- Best served immediately over extra ice. Might last a few days in the fridge if you can resist that long!
YUM!! Cardamom is a newly acquired obsession of mine, and I’ve been adding it to everything – but have failed to add it to my smoothies thus far. That, my friend, is about to change!
Are the almonds interchangeable for raw almond butter?
